QIAMAH
Where Will the Youths of Al-Kahf Be Manifested?

The Quran refers to them as:
فِتْيَةٌ — YOUTHS
إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ آمَنُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَاهُمْ هُدًى
“Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.”
— Al-Kahf 18:13
Do not restrict the word YOUTHS merely to physical age.
Within this understanding, youthfulness is faith that has not grown old.
Faith that is still alive.
Faith that is still courageous.
Faith that is still willing to rise.
Faith that has not been frozen by blind following.
Because the following verse says:
وَرَبَطْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ إِذْ قَامُوا
“And We strengthened their hearts when they rose…”
— Al-Kahf 18:14
They rose.
They did not remain sitting silently within an ancient story.
They are not merely historical figures to be remembered.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself connected Surah Al-Kahf with the warnings concerning the end times through the trial of Dajjal.
He ﷺ said:
فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَقْرَأْ عَلَيْهِ فَوَاتِحَ سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ
“Whoever among you encounters him, let him recite to him the opening verses of Surah Al-Kahf.”
— Sahih Muslim 2937
Therefore, Surah Al-Kahf is not a recitation disconnected from the end times.
It continues to be brought before humanity when the greatest trial emerges.
From here, we begin to see the indications:
YOUTHS
→ faith that remains alive.
QĀMŪ — they rose
→ the truth does not remain hidden forever.
AL-KAHF
→ a place of refuge before being manifested.
DAJJAL
→ this Surah remains relevant to the end times.
Therefore, the question is no longer:
“How old were the Youths of Al-Kahf?”
But:
WHO STILL POSSESSES A YOUNG FAITH WHEN OTHERS HAVE GROWN OLD IN BLIND FOLLOWING?
And if they are to be manifested…
WHERE IS THAT PLACE OF REFUGE?
To be continued next week…
DOES “AL-KAHF” NECESSARILY MEAN A HOLE IN A HILL?
