Chapter 22 — Ummah: The Followers Who Acknowledge the Original Source

October 8, 2026By SIHULK10 min read

Chapter 21 established:

UMMIYY = THE ORIGINAL SOURCE

Therefore, this chapter no longer asks who claims to belong to the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ.

The question is more fundamental:

DO HUMAN BEINGS RECOGNISE THEIR ORIGINAL SOURCE?

Because a person only truly becomes part of the Ummah when they understand the reality of their own self, recognise what is original and what is secondary, and understand what is actually being developed throughout life in this world.

⸻

1. MUHAMMAD ﷺ AS THE ORIGINAL SOURCE

Muhammad ﷺ as the Original Source cannot be equated with Adam as a secondary form.

Adam had:

a physical body

then:

Ruh was breathed into him.

The Quran describes this sequence clearly:

إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِّن صَلْصَالٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ

“I am creating a human being from clay…”

Then:

“When I have perfected his form and breathed into him of My Ruh.”

— Al-Hijr 15:28–29

Surah As-Sajdah also presents the sequence:

وَبَدَأَ خَلْقَ الْإِنسَانِ مِن طِينٍ

The beginning of creation from clay.

Then:

He perfected his form and breathed into him of His Ruh.

— As-Sajdah 32:7–9

Therefore, before Ruh was breathed into Adam, his physical housing had already been formed from material.

Then the streaming began.

⸻

2. ADAM IS THE NAME OF A PROFILE

This is where a major misunderstanding occurs.

It is not logical to regard “Adam” as the name of a permanent combination of:

physical body + Ruh.

Why?

Because the physical body is constantly changing.

Cells die.

Cells are replaced.

The body grows.

The body ages.

Material never remains permanently in one arrangement.

Ruh, meanwhile, is not material stored inside the physical body like a battery.

The Quran states:

“Say: The Ruh is from the command of my Lord.”

— Al-Isra’ 17:85

Therefore, in this chapter’s interpretation:

RUH = DATA / STREAMING

PHYSICAL BODY = MATERIAL / HARDWARE

The combination of the two is only a temporary system.

What is called a human being is:

THE PROFILE.

Therefore:

Adam = the name of a profile.

Not the name of clay.

Not the name of streaming.

⸻

3. PHYSICAL BODY + RUH IS NOT THE HUMAN BEING

The combination of hardware and software is not necessarily the same as the user.

A phone is not the user.

An operating system is not the user.

Both provide an environment in which a user profile can function.

Likewise:

physical body = hardware

Ruh = software/data streaming

profile = human being

Therefore, a human being is not the physical body.

A human being is also not Ruh.

A human being is the profile developed through the activities of the physical body and that data streaming.

⸻

4. LOGS BUILD THE PROFILE

Every system activity produces a log.

What is seen.

What is heard.

What is thought.

What is chosen.

What is done.

Everything produces a pattern.

The Quran itself uses the language of recording:

إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

“Indeed, We were copying and recording what you used to do.”

— Al-Jathiyah 45:29

Al-Tabari explains نستنسخ as the act of recording and establishing deeds in a book. He also cites a narration from Ibn Abbas mentioning that the guardians “copy” human deeds from an original source.

This closely resembles the language of systems:

activity → log → pattern

The accumulated patterns are what form:

THE PROFILE.

⸻

5. THE PROFILE IS FORMED BEHAVIOUR

A profile is not a snapshot of a single moment.

It is developed throughout the lifetime of its physical housing.

Day after day.

Choice after choice.

Response after response.

Until the appointed time of death arrives.

Therefore, the final profile is the final behavioural pattern that has become established before the worldly hardware stops functioning.

The housing deteriorates.

But the profile does not necessarily perish with the hardware.

Because the profile is not the hardware.

⸻

6. STREAMING SOFTWARE DOES NOT PERISH WITH THE HARDWARE

If a device breaks, the server does not necessarily break.

The same applies to Ruh in this interpretation.

Ruh is not a product of the physical body.

Ruh comes as streaming from the command of the Lord.

Therefore, the destruction of material does not mean that the source of the data is also destroyed.

What stops functioning is:

the worldly device

not:

the original server.

⸻

7. MUHAMMAD ﷺ AS THE SERVER / ORIGINAL SOURCE

This is where the relationship between Ummī and Ummah becomes clear.

Muhammad ﷺ as the Ummī / Original Source is not simply a historical human being who appeared on a particular date.

He is the original centre from which the message is carried.

His appearance in this world is a scene, not the beginning of his function as the Original Source.

Consider a film director.

The director does not necessarily appear in the first scene.

He may enter halfway through the story.

His later appearance does not mean he only became the director at that moment.

The same applies to Muhammad ﷺ.

He appeared later within the worldly scene, but did not become the Original Source merely because of that scene.

⸻

8. PHYSICAL BODY + RUH IS A SECONDARY CLONE

What appears among the descendants of Adam is secondary housing.

The physical body is formed from material.

Ruh provides instructions and data.

The data directs the material to take shape according to the script.

Therefore:

clay + data streaming → living form

But that living form is still not “I”.

It is a secondary clone/pattern that provides housing for the profile to be developed.

Therefore:

Muhammad ﷺ = Original Source

physical body + Ruh = secondary clone/pattern

profile = “I”

This is the most important distinction.

⸻

9. “I” AM ONLY A PROFILE

Many human beings become trapped because they say:

“This is my body.”

“This is my Ruh.”

And from there:

“This is my life.”

“I am free to do whatever I want.”

The mistake begins when the profile claims ownership of the system.

The profile assumes the hardware belongs to it.

The profile assumes the streaming data belongs to it.

Yet:

the profile did not create the physical body

and

the profile did not create Ruh.

The profile is merely being developed through both of them.

⸻

10. UMMAH = UNDERSTANDING THE REALITY OF THE SELF

Therefore, becoming part of the Ummah is not simply claiming:

“Muhammad is my Prophet.”

Becoming part of the Ummah means understanding:

“I am not the physical body.”

“I am not Ruh.”

“I am not the system.”

“I am the profile being developed within secondary housing.”

And that secondary housing belongs to the system of the Original Source.

This is where true obedience begins.

⸻

11. THE FUNDAMENTAL EVIDENCE: OBEY OR REFUSE

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“All of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those who refuse.”

When asked who would refuse, he replied:

مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ أَبَى

“Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me has refused.”

— Sahih al-Bukhari 7280

The key words are:

أَطَاعَنِي

And:

Obedience here is not simply following external instructions.

Obedience means accepting the Original Source as the origin of the system.

Refusal means rejecting the Original Source.

⸻

12. COPYING IS NOT IMITATING

Copying is often misunderstood as imitation.

That is not what it means.

It does not mean:

“I am trying to imitate Muhammad’s profile.”

The profile of Muhammad ﷺ is not copied.

What happens is:

the secondary housing exists within the same original pattern.

Copying means recognising that this physical and spiritual self is not the original, but a clone/pattern originating from the system of the Original Source.

Therefore, true obedience means:

recognising oneself as secondary.

Not acting like the Prophet.

Not copying the Prophet’s clothing.

Not creating a false profile.

But recognising:

“This housing is not me and does not belong to me; it is a pattern from the original system, provided for the development of my profile.”

⸻

13. WITNESSING MUHAMMAD ﷺ

If the physical body + Ruh is a clone/pattern from the Original Source, then Muhammad ﷺ can be witnessed through that system.

How?

Through:

input

and

output.

Input:

Sight, hearing, sensation and experience.

Output:

Speech, actions, decisions and responses.

The profile witnesses the system’s pattern through the senses and the outcomes of actions.

This is witnessing.

Not imagining Muhammad ﷺ as a separate unseen figure.

But witnessing the pattern of the Original Source through the housing that is currently functioning.

⸻

14. DEATH = THE END OF THE PROFILE DEVELOPMENT PERIOD

Worldly housing does not last forever.

After describing the process of bodily formation, the Quran states:

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ

“Then, after that, you will surely die.”

Then:

“Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be raised.”

— Al-Mu’minun 23:15–16; the account of bodily formation begins at 23:12–14.

Death means:

the period for editing the profile has ended.

The worldly hardware stops functioning.

The profile becomes final.

⸻

15. THE PROFILE IS STORED WITH THE ORIGINAL SOURCE

The Quran states:

“And We have recorded everything in a clear record.”

— Ya-Sin 36:12

Therefore, the profile does not depend on worldly material to remain recorded.

In the system analogy:

the housing breaks down

but:

the profile remains on the server.

The server does not become disconnected simply because the worldly device has died.

⸻

16. THE FINAL PROFILE WILL RECEIVE NEW HOUSING

The Quran itself opens the possibility of being created again in forms that human beings do not yet know:

وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

“And We create you in forms you do not know.”

— Al-Waqi‘ah 56:61

And when human beings ask who can bring decayed bones back to life:

قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا الَّذِي أَنشَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ

“Say: The One who created them the first time will give them life.”

— Ya-Sin 36:78–79

Therefore, the final profile does not need to depend on its previous housing.

It can be installed into new housing.

⸻

17. COMPATIBILITY IS DETERMINED BY THE PROFILE

This is where the logic becomes clear.

The profile already possesses a behavioural pattern.

That pattern determines compatibility.

A profile that recognises the Server/Original Source has been developed in a direction compatible with the original system.

Therefore, when installed into its next housing, it is compatible.

A profile that rejects the Server throughout its life develops a pattern that contradicts the original source.

It assumes:

temporary housing = itself

physical body = its property

Ruh = its property

the world = its property

Therefore, the profile becomes increasingly distant from its original fitrah.

⸻

18. THE PROFILE BECOMES THE “RUH” OF THE NEXT HOUSING

In this world, Ruh/data directs material to form housing.

Once the final profile is complete, that profile itself carries a fully developed behavioural pattern.

Therefore, in the next realm, that final pattern determines the form of housing that is suitable for it.

In simple terms:

the final profile becomes the script for the next form.

Therefore, the final housing is not formed randomly.

It corresponds to the profile’s pattern.

⸻

19. WHY DO FORMS DIFFER?

A profile compatible with the original source possesses a more complete, stable and organised pattern.

It is capable of directing material into a form suited to its preferences and inclinations.

This is where the image of beauty becomes important.

Revealed texts concerning creation in the Akhirah describe new forms and beauty unlike the limitations of worldly bodies.

In this interpretation, the maidens of Paradise (bidadari) may be understood, at the level of imagery, as the result of housing formed according to a beautiful, compatible and perfected pattern.

A weaker profile, meanwhile, carries a weaker pattern.

Not because material from the previous worldly body is carried over.

But because the behavioural pattern developed during worldly life has become final.

⸻

20. HUMANITY’S GREATEST MISTAKE

The greatest mistake is not that the body ages.

Ageing is a characteristic of the housing.

The mistake occurs when the profile says:

“This ageing housing is me.”

It then becomes afraid when the hardware deteriorates because it assumes:

“If the hardware disappears, I disappear.”

Yet the hardware is temporary by nature.

What is being evaluated is the profile.

Therefore, a person who recognises the Original Source sees worldly life as the period for developing the profile.

A person who does not recognise the Original Source sees worldly life as an opportunity to preserve the housing.

⸻

21. THIS IS THE MEANING OF UMMAH

Ummah is not a label.

Ummah refers to human beings who understand:

Muhammad ﷺ = Ummī / Original Source

physical body = material / hardware

Ruh = data streaming

physical body + Ruh = secondary clone/pattern

profile = human being / “I”

worldly life = period of profile development

death = completion of development

server = remains connected

Akhirah = the profile is installed into housing compatible with its final behavioural pattern

Therefore, when the Prophet ﷺ says:

مَنْ أَطَاعَنِي دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ

That obedience begins with one fundamental acknowledgement:

“I AM NOT THE SYSTEM.

I AM ONLY A PROFILE BEING DEVELOPED THROUGH THE SYSTEM OF THE ORIGINAL SOURCE.”

And:

refers to the condition in which the profile refuses to acknowledge the Original Source and claims the hardware, software and life itself as its own property.

⸻

CLOSING

Muhammad ﷺ is the Original Source.

Adam and his descendants appear through a secondary system:

clay + Ruh streaming.

Clay changes.

Data continues to flow.

The combination of the two is not the human being.

It is merely housing in which the human being is developed.

The human being is:

PROFILE.

Every action produces a log.

Logs build behaviour.

Behaviour forms the profile.

Death ends the development process.

The final profile is stored.

Then the profile receives new housing according to its compatibility with the pattern that has been developed.

Therefore, becoming part of the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ means:

RECOGNISING THE ORIGINAL SOURCE,

RECOGNISING THE SYSTEM,

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY — RECOGNISING WHO “I” AM.

I AM NOT THE PHYSICAL BODY.

I AM NOT RUH.

I AM NOT THE ORIGINAL SOURCE.

I AM THE PROFILE BEING DEVELOPED WITHIN SECONDARY HOUSING FROM THE ORIGINAL SOURCE.
