QIAMAH
Did the Sea of Musa Split — or Were They Two Walls of DNA?

Many people read the story of Musa عليه السلام like a fairy tale:
a baby in a basket.
a staff becoming a serpent.
the sea splitting in two.
And then they stop there.
Yet when the texts are connected, the story becomes far greater.
1. MUSA IN THE TABUT — NOT MERELY A “BASKET”
Ṭāhā 20:39:
“Place him in the Tabut, then cast it into al-yamm.”
The same word appears again in the story of Ṭālūt:
أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلتَّابُوتُ
— Al-Baqarah 2:248
And within that Tabut there is:
وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ ءَالُ مُوسَىٰ وَءَالُ هَٰرُونَ
“A remnant of what was left behind by the family of Musa and the family of Harun.”
Therefore:
MUSA → TABUT → LEGACY OF MUSA-HARUN → ṬĀLŪT
This is one continuity.
⸻
2. ṬĀLŪT IS EMPHASISED THROUGH KNOWLEDGE + BODY
Al-Baqarah 2:247:
“He has increased him abundantly in knowledge and body.”
Why is the body mentioned?
Because this struggle is not merely about knowledge.
It also touches upon health, endurance and the human body.
⸻
3. THEN COMES THE TEST OF THE RIVER
“Indeed, Allah will test you with a river.”
— Al-Baqarah 2:249
The river is not merely decoration within the story.
It is a TEST.
Human beings are most easily tested when they are:
thirsty, sick, afraid and desperate to survive.
It is at such a time that something appearing to be a “remedy” is most easily accepted.
⸻
4. MUSA AND THE SEA THAT SPLIT
Ash-Shu‘ara 26:63:
“So it split apart, and each part was like a great mountain.”
Notice the image:
SPLIT APART
→ TWO GREAT SECTIONS
→ A PATH IN THE MIDDLE
In a reading centred on the human body, this image becomes particularly interesting when compared with:
🧬 DNA = two paired strands.
Thus, the “two great mountains” can be read symbolically as:
TWO WALLS OF LIFE — TWO STRANDS OF DNA.
This does not mean that the literal verse says “DNA”.
But the visual pattern is too striking to ignore.
⸻
5. WATER CONTINUALLY APPEARS AS A DIVIDING POINT
Notice:
Musa → water
Ṭālūt → river
Dajjal → two rivers
Water repeatedly appears as:
A TEST.
SEPARATION.
CHOICE.
One side is saved.
The other side is deceived.
⸻
6. THE STAFF AND THE SERPENT
Al-A‘raf 7:117:
“And behold, it swallowed what they had falsified.”
Its functional reading:
THE STAFF = CAPABILITY
THE SERPENT = AN AGENT THAT SWALLOWS FALSEHOOD
THE RESULT = PHARAOH’S SYSTEM FAILS
It is not merely a story of a large serpent against smaller serpents.
⸻
THE PUNCHLINE
The problem is not that the Quran is too difficult.
The problem is that human beings become satisfied too quickly with the literal story.
A BABY IN A BASKET.
A SERPENT.
THE SEA SPLITTING.
Yet when the texts are connected:
MUSA → TABUT → LEGACY → ṬĀLŪT → BODY → RIVER → SEPARATION → JĀLŪT → DAWUD
a greater pattern emerges:
HUMAN BEINGS ARE ENSLAVED.
HUMAN BEINGS ARE TESTED.
HUMAN BEINGS ARE SEPARATED.
HUMAN BEINGS ARE SAVED.
DO NOT IMPRISON THE QURAN WITHIN FAIRY TALES.
READ THE TEXTS, LANGUAGE, NATURE AND THE SELF — TOGETHER.
