IHSAN
Certificate + Memorisation + Power

A certificate gives confidence.
Memorisation gives eloquence.
Power gives the ability to impose one’s will.
The problem begins when all three come together in a person who is unaware of the limits of their own knowledge.
They assume:
“I have studied, therefore I know.”
“I have memorised, therefore I understand.”
“I have power, therefore I am right.”
Yet Allah says:
فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ
“So do not claim yourselves to be pure.”
Surah An-Najm 53:32
And Allah also reminds us:
وَفَوْقَ كُلِّ ذِي عِلْمٍ عَلِيمٌ
“And above every possessor of knowledge is one more knowledgeable.”
Surah Yusuf 12:76
A certificate is not proof that someone understands everything.
Memorisation is not proof that someone has grasped the deeper reality.
Nor is power proof that someone is in the right.
When all three come together without reason, tadabbur (deep reflection) and humility—
A PERSONAL MISTAKE CAN BECOME A COLLECTIVE MISTAKE.
Even more devastating:
ONE PERSON WHO IS WRONG CAN FORCE THOUSANDS OF OTHERS TO FOLLOW THEIR MISTAKE.
CERTIFICATE + MEMORISATION + POWER
WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING
= A MULTIPLIED DANGER.
