A clean and welcoming space does not happen by itself — it is created when people come together and care.
At 20 McDougall, members of SiHulk came together for a Community Care Day, working side by side to refresh, improve and care for the spaces we share.
From washing and cleaning the floors, organising our dining area, tidying our gathering spaces, to painting and refreshing the surroundings, every task was an opportunity to contribute.
But the true value of the day was not measured by how much we cleaned or painted.
It was measured by the people who showed up, worked together, and took responsibility for a place they call their community.
More Than Cleaning
A Community Care Day is more than maintaining a physical space.
It is about building a culture where everyone understands that a strong community is created through participation, responsibility and care.
One person cleans the floor.
Another organises the dining area.
Someone else picks up a paintbrush.
Together, these small contributions create something much bigger — a place where people feel welcomed, respected and cared for.
